WOTS is a Central Florida nonprofit serving the homeless by meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Since 2005, they’ve distributed thousands of tents, sleeping bags, and meals while offering consistent outreach. Their mission is to serve wherever people are, on the street, in camps, or in need, with compassion and faith. Volunteers help assemble snack bags, serve meals, and distribute essentials donated by local partners.
The Holiday Wine Walk, is a unique fundraising event that blends community, wine tasting, and purpose. As guests sample wines at local businesses throughout Downtown Avalon Park, they also help support a meaningful cause. All proceeds benefit the Sacha Patin Memorial Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to local students for tuition, school supplies, and other academic needs. Each ticket sold and glass poured helps invest in brighter futures through education.
The Central Florida Miracle League provides children and adults with disabilities the chance to play baseball in a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment. Located at Trotter’s Park in Orlando, the league fosters self-esteem, friendship, and community through the joy of the game. With a custom-designed field and a strong network of volunteers, the Miracle League empowers every player to experience the magic of baseball—regardless of ability.
Publix Bread Pickup is a meaningful, ongoing initiative by the Rotary Club of Avalon Park. Twice a week, local Publix stores donate unsold bread, which our members pick up and deliver to individuals and families in need. This partnership reduces food waste while helping to address food insecurity in our community. It’s a small, consistent act of service that creates a lasting impact.
The Rotary Poker Tournament is an exciting annual fundraiser that combines friendly competition with community impact. Sacha Patin Memorial & Rotary Club of Avalon Park Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship is available to full-time undergraduate students, with a preference for those who attended Timber Creek High School in Orlando, Florida, and who demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism or service through a required essay.
